Team Responsibility

Manage the entire chain of logstical activities including unplanned issues, from source to the plant site, for supply of fuel to the power plant. Fuel is to be sourced from Indonesia and South Africa, which entails investment in mining firms, transportation of fuel from the source country through rail and ocean liners across continents to the ports/jetties for unloading and subsequent transportation by barges through the river to the final destination (power plant).


JD:-

Conceptualize and develop a logistics plan with the help of concerned partners and vendors to manage the supply of fuel (coal) from different parts of the globe.
Negotiate and finalize the contract terms and conditions with the transport firms (rail & shipping) for transportation of fuel.
Assist and actively contribute in construction of ports/jetties for loading and unloading of fuel at the source and close to the plant, respectively.
Enter into the agreement with insurance companies for securing fuel supplies during transit.
Intrerface with government agencies and statutory bodies, including customs etc with the aim of building a long term sustainable relationship.
Work closely with the country managers in the source countries for sourcing and securing the supplies of fuel.
Conduct regular reviews with the partners / contractors to evaluate the efficiencies.
Identify cost optimal logistical alternatives on a continual basis.
