Essential Functions and Key responsibilities

o Will be expected to help in verification infrastructure development, development of chip-level test plans, System Verilog/C++ based generators/checkers, etc
o Will be responsible for the definition, development and execution, in a team environment of self-checking tests for complex digital ASICs.

Educational Requirement

o Candidate's must have a Bachelor's Degree or higher in CS or EE with very good academics. Masters degree preferred.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Required
6+ years experience in ASIC Verification.
Intimate knowledge of networking standards such as SONET, OTN/G.709, Gigabit Ethernet & Fibre Channel.
Fluent in System Verilog/C++, Perl/shell scripts.
Must have intimate knowledge of SystemVerilog/VMM verification methodologies; experience with code coverage, formal verification tools; familiarity with evolving verification technologies such as SystemVerilog/VMM.
Participation in a recent multi-million gate ASICs verification in telecom/networking area is preferred
Should have worked on developing test plans at module/chip-level for the entirety of the project
Work independently from the chip specifications to execute verification test plan;
Must have good communication skills and the ability and desire to work as a team

Key Responsibilities

Play a key role in defining the detailed requirements for current and future releases of Infinera’s products. The requirements will be focused on software requirements such as equipment information modeling, protocols (e.g. routing and signaling), fault management, performance management
Writing detailed System Requirements Documents (SRDs) that drive development and system test activities and customer documentation
Working closely with Software, Hardware engineering is required
Work closely with Marketing, Customer Support, Sales and Customer to specify detailed requirements
Guiding Development engineering and System Test on technical matters, including technical and schedule tradeoffs on both hardware and software functions
Monitoring standards activities
Direct dialogue with customers on technical matters
Leading / Participating in Software/Product change cross-functional meetings
Participate in cross-functional leadership and coordination of release content through the product life cycle gate process with Engineering, Test, Marketing, Sales, and Support organizations


Requirements:

8+ years experience with telecommunication product development, either embedded system software (preferred) or hardware
At least 3 years experience in systems engineering or senior system-level architecture role at a telecom equipment vendor
Experience writing detailed technical requirements documents for SW and HW engineers
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering; a graduate degree is a plus
Product lifecycle management experience in at least one leading telecom product
Technical experience with carrier transport systems and applications in one more technologies in DWDM, SONET/SDH, Ethernet, GMPLS, SNMP and TL1
Qualified candidate for this position must be able to operate with minimal supervision, work in a multi-task environment across organizational boundaries, and communicate effectively
Experience with protocol development (e.g. OSPF, GMPLS) or requirements is highly desirable
Ability to function effectively at both strategic and tactical level
Strong analysis, problem resolution, judgment and decision-making skills
A solid understanding of complex HW and SW system architecture and products is preferred
