Position Title: Assistant Accountant
Starting date: March 2012
Work hours: 8 hours per day (duty hours depending on job requirements);
Salary: Rs. 40,000-Rs. 50,000/- per month plus benefits (Grade-8 AES Scale)
Position Duties :
1. Tuition and Fees: Responsible for taking care of all aspects relating to tuition and fees, such as billing, providing information, maintaining records, preparing reports, keeping track of fees received, reconciliation, and follow-up.
2. Receivables: Responsible for managing receivables from staff and student accounts



3. Audit: Reconciling and preparing the final schedules of Revenue Accounts, Asset Accounts, Liability Accounts for audit
4. Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor, such as:
• Maintaining records of storage, upholstery reimbursements and freight/insurance settlements of outgoing overseas faculty;
• Maintaining all documents relating to US Government grants and preparing documentation for claiming reimbursements
• Taking part in cash flow management under supervision
• Handling cash disbursements (as and when needed)
• Executing financial analysis
• Adhering to established and standard financial procedures and guidelines
Qualifications / knowledge / experience:
 Commerce Graduate
 4 to 5 years work experience in a similar field
 Good practical knowledge of accounting packages; proficiency in MS Excel
 Budget drafting, elaboration and monitoring
 Book keeping of small/medium level of organisation
 Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in relation to different day-to-day financial activities
 Conversant with banking procedures and able to draw bank reconciliation independently.

 Ability to work independently as well as part of team
 Analytical and Organizational skills
 Ability to work with international clientele and work under pressure.
